Somaliland: ISTVS comms support and follow up

April 12–14, 2017 ISTVS, Sheikh, Somaliland

ILRI CKM team led two Communications and Knowledge Sharing training workshops with research and teaching staff at the IGAD Sheikh Technical Veterinary School and Reference Centre (ISTVS) in March and June 2015.

This visit grew out of the two earlier training workshops targeting key "focal" staff who will be instrumental in sustaining the initiative at ISTVS. This visit aims to raise awareness among staff of the wider range of multimedia and other social media tools and products they are currently using by ISTVS.

Purpose:

  • Generate a status update from the two previous training workshops (what has been done so far at ISTVS)
  • What are the gaps right now and how are we going to move forward in supporting the comms effort

Visitors/trainers:

  • Apollo Habtamu
  • Liya Dejene

List of participants:

  • Mohamed Adan Guun – ICT Expert - Skype: guun80; mohamed.aden@stvs-edu.org
